Programme 2010

12-00  Entering the Dragons Den… The Play Innovation Zone pitches
Speakers: The ASPIRATION 4 Innovation finalists
The Play Providers Association (PPA) is linking with Play & Attractions to find and profile new innovations and inventions in the indoor play market through its ASPIRATION 4 INNOVATION category at this year’s ASPIRE Awards. During this session each of the finalists who will also have stand space in the Play Innovation Zone will be given a quick opportunity to promote their new product to you the potential customer. Presentation time is tight so if our randomly selected group of operators from the audience feels that the nominee is losing their way they can buzz them out and cut short their presentation time!
1-00 “State of the Industry” - Where have we come from? Where are we going to?
Workshop Session
Providing thought provoking debate, the workshop session is always very well attended by play operators keen to share experiences. The session this year will review the key finding in the State of the Industry survey and debate whether the industry is moving forward, what is the best business model, what will happen to the industry in the future and how can we make it a successful future. Working in small groups and facilitated by PPA Exec member Russell Gardner, this session will provide participants with valuable ideas and data to move your site forward.

Speaker: Tony How (Davis Brown)
Rising rates bill? Worried you may be paying too much? Tony has been instrumental in securing rates reductions for leisure clients since 1995 and has successfully represented a number of play centre operators in appeals against the 2005 rating list.
