Food and drink award for Belper children's centre

A children's play centre in Belper has earned national recognition for its food and drink.

Chucklebutties Play and Party Centre, at the East Mill, has been awarded a silver award by the Play Protectors Association following a recent ceremony in Birmingham.

"The award recognises Chucklebutties' efforts in providing tea and coffee, home-cooked meals, and organic and Fairtrade food and drink"

The centre beat off competition from 12 other play venues, but were pipped at the post by a centre in Edinburgh.

Manager Steph Jansen said: "We like to think we're the best in England as the winner was from Scotland. We think we've done really well."
