'They're loving it!' - Free soft play area is NOW open in Lincoln city centre

A free new soft play area is already proving to be hit just 24 hours after it opened in the heart of Lincoln.

Families from across the city are already putting the new nautically themed play zone to good use after it was launched on Friday, February 2.

Located on the lower level of the Waterside Shopping Centre, the brightly coloured, five metre by four metre play site is able to accommodate 15 children at any one time.

Parents say it's great for their children to let off steam while shopping

And there is even a fishing boat and barrels for children to sit on, climb over and enjoy.

It is made from specific materials to keep children aged between two and five safe while they play.

Parents say it is great for letting their children blow off steam during long shopping trips.

Rebecca Rosewarne-Casson, whose daughter Eliza is already loving it, said: "It’s a really nice little play area, gives us a little bit of sanity while we are out shopping. Let’s them blow off a bit of steam."

"It’s also really handy as it’s near the toilets."

General manager Dean Cross said: "We’re always trying to make Waterside a better place for our customers and following their feedback, we’ve added a free soft play area on the lower ground level.
